Question 1

What counts as a delivery?

Accepted Answer

A delivery is one attempt to send an event to one destination. If an event is routed to three destinations, that counts as three deliveries. Retries count as additional deliveries.

Question 2

What happens when I exceed my plan limits?

Accepted Answer

On the Free plan, deliveries stop at the hard limit. On paid plans, overage charges apply automatically per 1,000 additional deliveries -- $0.50 on Base, $0.25 on Growth, $0.10 on Scale -- and you are never blocked from delivering events.

Question 3

Can I change plans at any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

Question 4

What destinations are supported?

Accepted Answer

Pushrail supports 18 destination types across seven categories: webhooks (generic REST), object storage (S3, GCS, Azure Blob), data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, ClickHouse), message queues and streams (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub, SNS, SQS, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, EventBridge), databases (Postgres, MySQL), and analytics (PostHog). More are on the roadmap.

Question 5

How does replay billing work?

Accepted Answer

Replayed deliveries count as regular deliveries against your plan's monthly volume. There is no separate replay fee.

Question 6

Do you offer annual billing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Base, Growth, and Scale plans get two months free when billed annually -- so $49/mo becomes $490/year. Switch between monthly and annual at checkout. Enterprise annual terms are custom.

Question 7

What is the difference between log retention and event retention?

Accepted Answer

Log retention controls how long delivery attempt logs (including response codes, latency, and errors) are kept. Event retention controls how long the raw ingested event data is available for replay and inspection.

Question 8

What destination types are available on the Free plan?

Accepted Answer

Free supports four destination types: webhooks (generic REST), S3, GCS, and SQS. All other destination types -- BigQuery, Snowflake, ClickHouse, Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub, SNS, Postgres, MySQL, and PostHog -- are available starting on the Base plan.
